Cat’s eye

The colour of honey, with a streak of light across its surface, akin to the pupil of a cat’s eye, the Cat’s Eye enjoys much popularity as a gem adorning men’s jewellery.
The cat’s eye effect is known as chatoyancy, caused by the reflection of light by tiny needle-like inclusions in the gemstone.
It is said that the most superior chatoyancy shows off a thick straight line, with milky and honey colours in equal parts.
Cat’s Eyes that exhibit both high clarity and strong lustre are extremely rare.
