Citrine

The allure of the yellow gemstone Citrine is its ability to warm, comfort and energise. The word citrine is derived from citrus describing the yellow-hued citron fruit family.
Amethyst, Rose Quartz, Smoky Quartz are examples of the mineral quartz, which boasts a rich colour variation. The yellow-hued quartz is known as citrine.
Japan is a producer of quartz.
In the 19th century, it was discovered that the purple-hued amethyst turned to a citrine colour upon being treated with heat. Since then, most citrine gemstones have been produced using this method.
It is the birthstone for November, along with Topaz.
